These are Our Stories of How we Came to Live Here and More about Us.

"Penny"- I was originally rescued in New York from the ASPCA by a very nice young lady.  She had to move away for her job.  Her Dad worked with Fred and was going to have me put to sleep as he didn't have room for me in the city.  Fred came and got me and brought me here to live.  I really like the other big dogs, but can leave the smaller ones, they really bug me.  I like exercise and need a firm hand on my leash.  I am already spayed.

"Shadow"- I am about 4 years old.  I am a cocker/springer spaniel mix.  I am a bigger boy about 40 lbs.  I have a marvelous temperament.  My previous owner dumped me off in the parking lot of the vets office one day, I am not sure why.  He just opened the door, threw me out and drove away.  I growled at Fred the first time I met him, but I was in my cage at the vets office, and I was scared.  I loved Barbara right away and kissed her hands over and over again even when I was in my cage.  I need a haircut bad, but I have a short tail, white on my chest and freckles on my nose.  I am mostly black.  I am not scared any more so now I no longer growl at anyone.  I am crate trained and appear to be housebroken.  I like treats and get along well with everyone.

Wynston- I look like a little grey Englishman, I appear to be part terrier and part corgi, I have short legs, very little tail and am grey and white.  I like to play, I get along well with smaller dogs, but don't like the big ones much.  I was found roaming the streets without a tag or collar on.  My shots are now up to date, I never mess in my kennel.  I can be a good boy when prompted to do so.

Patsy- I am a Siberian Husky-Lab mix.  I came here from a private home.  I am well behaved, well mannered, have been a house dog my whole life.  I don't pull on the lead.  I am very quiet and I mind my manners very well.  I am housebroken 100%, I love car rides. My shots are up to date.  My previous owner moved away to California where there wasn't a yard big enough for me to play in.  He had talked to Fred and Barbara before he left, and wanted to be sure I would be looked after and not put to sleep.  I am 5 years old and need a family to call my own.  I have been around a small Pomeranian before and he didn't bother me much. I have one blue eye and one brown eye.
I am spayed already.

"Newfie"- I was adopted by Fred and Barb through the vets office at the tender age of 8 weeks.  I have grown into a marvelous big dog, have manners (well I love to play).  I am very loveable, neutered and a wonderful watch dog.  I also like to play with other dogs, even the young puppies.  I am gentle to a fault but sometimes forget how big I am.  I need lots of room to roam or a 6 foot fence to contain me.  I was raised in the house and always wait to go outside to go potty.

"Rosie"-  I am a brown and White Cocker Spaniel Female, I have been with Fred and Barbara since I was 8 weeks old.  I am retired from having any more babies, I have been spayed.  I am not very fond of kids, so I would be best in a home with either older kids, say around 12 or so who can respect my space.  I am housebroken and lived with Barb in Oklahoma for the time she was there.  I am available for adoption for $50.00.

Our special thanks to Deb, Sandy and Ken at our Vet's Office for allowing us the to work with these special kids who have been abandoned.  All of these dogs are very special, they have been made to feel secure in their temporary  home here.  They need special love and attention.  Please contact us if you would be willing to adopt one of these special kids.  We feed them, bring their shots up to date and treat them with kindness and respect.
